Is it legal to use other sites' RSS feeds to supply my site with content? AKA I set up an autoblogged to post their latest articles. Is that wrong?
it depends on the terms and conditions attached to the feed. FYI, just splatting a feed onto your site will do NOTHING for your Google rankings. Dupe content = no thanks, says Mr Google.
Actually your wrong about that. I have an autoblog and all it does is pull rss feeds & comments. Thanks to twitter & google it gets over 100 uniques/day by itself.
Some people preach against autoblogs because it goes against their business model. If the site you are pulling the RSS from says you have the right to "pull RSS from" their site, go for it. Some article sites have this explicitly stated. If it is not so explicit in the site you want to pull from do not do it or wait for permission. What was RSS created for ? It was created to share content.
That is a great question. The legalities of syndicating RSS feeds are unclear. Here is a great article that delves into the issue: http://www.feedforall.com/rss-copyright-debate.htm
feel free to tell us the URL, or the keywords you're ranking for that allow you to make money from the dupe content.
