Can I use my articles from ezinearticles.com on other websites?

    Hello,

I have a few articles on ezinearticles.com and I was thinking about reusing them. Is this recommended for extra traffic? If so, where can I re-post them?

    Hi Mariusstp,

Sure you can. In fact, you can submit an article to many directories if you want. It will only give your articles even more exposure than they would have anyway, and build you a whole lot of backlinks.

At Contant Crooner this is a huge part of what our service is built around. Instead of submitting an article to many directories you submit to us where a team or article coaches makes sure it is ready to be accepted by the directories, then we send it out to the largest list on the internet.

This raises the duplicate content issue.

Many respected IM experts swear that using duplicate content is bad. The concensus seems to be though that there is no harm in using duplicate content.

So to answer your question, yes you can use them elsewhere. You might want to spin them first.

As for where, use the search function and look up article directories.

You can use it wherever you want. You really don't have to change it (some people will disagree with me). The only place you can not submit it to is Buzzle. They require you to have content that is 100% unique. I usually submit my article to Buzzle FIRST, then submit the same article to Ezine and the other directories.

Spinning them first is always best but not absolutely necessary.

By all means, of course you can... I definitely agree with Content Crooner.

I actually do this and it works great..

I also keep everything the same, meaning the title, body of the article and the resource box are all the same. But, you can change them around if you like, but most of the time you need to keep the author box the same so that it doesn't look like your stealing someone else's work/article.

I am still not sure if I should simply create new articles instead of just copying my old ones. Can you tell me what are the consequences of simply copying my ezine articles and posting them directly on my website? What is the worst case scenario?

There are no consequences. The worst case scenario is you might get some more traffic.

I guess you can! But try to mix them up just abit.
Article's are no good stand alone. I think you need a site that has like tons of traffic who reads whatever you write there first. Thats the selling point for ezines, bukisa and other article directory. But what ever you do just remember your resource box, the last bit at the end of the article that links back to your page or site. The focus of the article must be aligned to whatever site you are trying to promote or get more traffic for.

You could continue to get more traffic via online article marketing via my book.Or try to get as much backlinks via article directories instead, Unless your are trying to get hits from other site dont try to hard on publishing them on your own site but enough to make you look like a niche expert!
Imagine getting traffic from your site over and over again....heaven!

Yes, you can and you should. After all, the purpose of submitting to Eza is to get many people to republish your content. If nobody republishes your content, you might as well submit to other article directories.

I think ezine requires 100% unique content. So, it is better to submit articles there at the first place. Then you can submit them to articlebase but sites like articlealley, buzzle never allow any duplicate content. So, it is better to rewrite them or spin the content -whatever your choice is.

I think the OP was asking if he could use content that he already posted to ezine on other directories.

    In a word; yes.

I think you can, only if you change the title and few parts of your content. If you just thinking of copy-pasting it to some other directory submission site, the content as well as your account might get banned for a simple reason of "duplicate content".

You should paraphrase your articles or Google will penalise you for duplicate content. That's worse than having only one article posted. Just re-write it using slightly different words and phrases... hint.... use a thesaurus!

Duplicate content is bad for your search engine result, why don't you try to spin it?

If people submitting to Ezine Articles are concerned about duplicate content, then what do they think when their EZA content is published on a website? That is, after all, the original purpose of Ezine Artilces. This has always baffled me.

BTW, I've used my EZA on other article directories, modified a bit as a Squidoo lens, and as blog posts. I get traffic - and sales - from them all.

As long as it is your article you can always use it and submit it on whatever article site you want. Actually, for your search engine marketing strategy, in order to help you drive traffic to your website as well as get higher rankings it is highly recommended to submit your articles on as many article submission networks as possible.

Yes, of course you can. You can use all your submitted articles or press releases. However, if you want to use other authors', you need to email them and ask :)
