Can I use Media Wiki for my business?

I installed Media Wiki and was just about to use it for internal company communication when I read that anything that's on it become public owned.

Is this true? So I can't use it for anything corporate even if I password protect the directory?

I use TikiWiki now and I hate it because it has all kinds of crap features. I just want a wiki not all the other stuffing. Anything else anyone recommend?

I'd strongly recommend www.PmWiki.com for features, managing users, & ease of use. It has a MediaWiki skin option if that's what you are looking for.

How about www.PBWiki.com? I find that paid services are always better than the free open source ones.
