Hii all memebers we had one site which is well promoted in google now wat my client want he want his site to be top in uk also and i came to know google.co.uk give importance to co.uk domains . Now as we registered new domain for this and we will be developing new pages for it and using dynamic portion of old one means we will be using database of old one some part will be redirecting to another website does this will create problem ?? if yes then plz suggest me wat to do Regards
Google doesnt really gives an advantage to .co.uk (as far as I know, but I am only experienced in .nl) but gives advantage to the location of the server. If the website is hosted on a real English server, then it has more chances of showing up in google.co.uk. The database redirecting is thus possible, but the website itself, should be located in England.
If you are using the old database, it;'s no problem. Use the SQL from the old hosting if you are comfortable with that. But the Apache and the NS's (name servers) make them UK based.
