Depends on the CJ Program, some allow it some dont. Read the terms for the advertiser

That is strange, I was given permission from the advertiser to do that. Im glad I wasnt banned from CJ. But I have the email just in case I ever am banned. It makes me the most money so I dont think I will ever remove it.

Emails wont save your tail if their TOS change. I have several emails from Google that used to be valid answers to my questions. As Google changed it's terms, those emails won't save me.

Also, in that excerpt, I see no mention of email being illegal. I have not dug through their terms (recently), I'm just commenting on the text that you quoted.

Plenty of peeps put affiliate links in signatures here on DP. Not sure if they are CJ links though. :)

True....I will remove mine then tonight just in case, I was allready in trouble with CJ once for buying things with my own codes, but i was saved cause I asked one of the advertisers If I could do that and they said yes. So i sent that email to CJ and they let me back in the program..

You did smartly. I guess that is why CJ gives us the interface to "contact" the merchant - so we can plea our case. I get po'd sometimes when I get the instant turn down at CJ. I have to personally contact the merchant and act like Darren Stevens - promising them that I am a guru advertiser... etc. :p Lot's of work! yes.

Yes, it really depends on the invidual advertiser, but generally speaking it's not accepted. On most other forums it can get you banned, since the forum owners are looking to make a living off of their own ads, not have sales stolen from your signature.

CJ only states that you can not put affiliate links on 3rd party sites unless you are given permission from that 3rd party to do so.

Since this forum allows affiliate links, they are allowed in your signature.

Read the program's TOS. Most won't allow that, but you'll have to double check the Terms.

In whatever you do, please first read the rules / TOS of CJ. Just to stay out of trouble in future...
