    Hi all,

yesterday I made 1 sale on my astore
and make me want to promote the astore via adwords.

I do not have a domain for the astore, so my question is is it allowed by adwords and by amazon to promote astores?

    I mean http://astore.amazon.co.uk/youID

    I think cannot do that.

Because astore is sub-domain of amazon.com

If you send traffic from PPC to your aStore its like to send to Amazon.com too.

Well sending traffic directly to astore is not a good idea.

Sorry if this was asked before, I searched without clear answer.

I know PPC to Amazon is prohibited, so if I use PPC to my site a.com and I have an astore at a.com/b.htm, is it allowed?

    thanks a lot.

This should be permitted, because it is sending traffic to your site, not to Amazon. Because Google (and other PPC networks) permit only one ad to any domain, the astore.amazon.com domain would be direct competition, while your domain would not be. However, at least one person has asked Amazon and was told that they may not do PPC to a page with an embedded aStore on it (not what you are proposing). I think that the answer they got ("no") was incorrect, and that Amazon support is not clear on their policy. What you are proposing is probably permitted, but this is something that you definitely need to ask Amazon so that you don't waste your adverstizing money. Use the Feedback link from the Amazon Associate area to ask your question. Be very clear in your question, and persist if you get a muddled answer (which is what you may get). It would be useful to everyone to know what the policy really is!

PS: PPC is still permitted on non-North American Amazons, but you must classify your account/site as PPC, and your commission rate is different (lower, I assume). I mention this so nobody assumes the policy (no PPC to Amazon) applies everywhere. It only applies to Amazon.com and Amazon.ca.

here is the answer from Amazon, the answer is YES.
"Associate members are not permitted to use aStores as standalone websites, nor are Associates permitted to use a standalone aStore URL as the destination URL for any paid search advertisements. Members cannot direct link any Amazon.com Link within a Search Engine, or Pay Per Click Program.

You must embed the aStore in your own site or provide a link on your site for your customers to access an aStore. If you do so, you may send users to your embedded aStore via paid search advertisements."
