    Can I use that account for my wordpress hosted blog or anywhere?

    yes you can use the same account on wordpress provided that you are approved by adsense

    Since you are getting approved for youtube account So, I think it is a hosted Adsense account then you cannot add it to other websites rather than Google hosted account.
