Can I Use a Subdomain for Displaying CJ Product Links?

    Hi All,

I'm new to CJ. I had an old content site that was generating a little Adsense revenue. I had some spare time so I thought I'd try and add affiliate product links very closely related to the content and see what happened. I'm thinking of taking this a step further and setting up a kind of comparison shop that displays the same products from a handful of different merchants to help people interested in my free content get better deals on the products they buy.

Ideally I would like to setup this comparison shop on a subdomain of the domain I have listed in the website details of my CJ account. Can I go ahead and just upload affiliate links to my suibdomain or do I need to add/change a setting in my CJ account first?

I was thinking about using a free PopShop to manage this on my subdomain. I'm doing all this on a 'try and see' basis so I don't want to spend money yet. Is PopShop the best route or do people recommend other similar options?

What are people's recommendations for the above and is it okay to go ahead with a subdomain of my website or am I causing problems with getting my commissions?

    Thanks!

I've had no problems using the same PID for (ridiculous amounts of) subdomains on one of my 'listed' CJ sites.

Thanks Kerosene. Have you used PopShops or any other similar package?

Hi Nandamuri, why do you advise against it?
