Can I use a free host to host my site but still show my domain?

And I don't want to transfer my domain, just change the dns or something. What are some good sites to host at without ads?

well there are different things I am considering. directory, proxy, search engine

I can host the database and stuff myself, I'm just having a problem with my server because I am running too many sites at the same time.

 

Well, shared hosting would be best...and a search engine would require a lot of processing power i must admit that. But try reconfiguring your apache.
