Can I transfer programs

    I want to use windows 7 pro but have vista ultimate and hence need a new install :(. I was wondering if there is any programs or built in stuff that will make it so I do not need to reinstall everything?

    Why not get Win7 ultimate?

    I'm sure just how someone made an upgrade patch for WinXP > Win7, there will be other patches to allow upgrades between systems that weren't listed on Microsoft's upgrade compatibility chart.

    What is WinXP > Win 7? Also I have a free copy of win7 Pro so I wanted to use that I don't want a crack if I can use legit :p

    Hardware is a fax when the installation cd, then I think it is not.

    I don't think there is option to transfer programs though you can import setting in some programs.
