Can I sue them or have a complaint that'd get me a refund or incentive to not sue...for any of the following? - Raised the price without notice (weekly rental) - Internet down 20-30% of the day, all day once - Heat does not work, freezing here - Fridge only freezes, loads of food wasted - Found a bottle of Gilbey's gin in between mattresses Here's the gin (smells like dish soap) - lol. I guess I should just stop complaining and go somewhere else
Suing is usually costing more than it's worth but complaining doesn't cost a cent. I learned one thing when trying to complain - you can not be nice, you have to be aggressive (however not too rude). Have something in your sleeve like consumer protection etc (depends on your location) and you WILL win.
Of course, I don't see myself ever suing unless it was rock solid. I'm just looking to see which case would be best to complain about. Don't worry about me being nice though, heh. I'm just thinking to be prepared, print out a legal document like the safety inspection laws or whatever for motels incase they try to argue about it. So this gin, is it really supposed to smell/taste like dish soap? lol
Obviously but I am not in New York City, Washington, Toronto, Ottawa, just a small town that are the outskirts of Toronto (by like two hours - lol) so not much to pick from really. It was just temporary and Dec 1st is the day I'm supposed to have my place, so...yeh!
Well I have not drank in about six months, but feeling like a relapse staring at the bottle I found. It's only like 35% full, I'm sure it'd be safe to drink. I never drank gin before (just vodka, rum, and whiskey mostly) but it smells like dish soap. ...and nothing to mix with but chocolate milk! I live across the world from you, how about I save $2000 and give you enough to buy a bottle? Lol...
stuff the bottle. You need tonic to drink gin. I have few whiskey bottles in the pantry. DP members let's party
Already said Elaborate: Moving into a new house for December first, waiting for the owner to get it prepared to rent.
I'm sure what it is now, got a little buzz from it, drank it straight but it wasn't that nasty as I thought...maybe bad hygeines and I can get sick, but heck I already am sick, my headache is cured!
Sounds like you rented one of those 'by the hour' motels that gets hookers as their main clients... Can you sue for any of that, yes you can in a roundabout way. Is it worth it? No. The worst that'll happen is you spend hours with your lawyer to get back the $50/night that you blew, but you'll rack up many times that in legal fees and time wasted in court.
Your better off making a complaint instead of sueing, you'll pay more to sue them then they'll pay you back lol
The filing fees alone for a complaint are greater than any damages you would get. Your best bet is just to complain and hope they fix it.
Wow it really sounds like you got stuck in a really crappy place Just out of Curiosity did the Sign outside say Free Color Tv? -Chris
Nope, the sign says just the name, even worse! I mean, not as bad as some of the competition I looked into. One even had a review online of finding used needles in the room! It's not that bad except for the heat/fridge, I can live with Internet being down a bit, but price is getting to be a big pain.
Haha Wow Used Needles do they even clean that place or do they just make the bed and call it good? -Chris
