In my directories you can, but when you submit it only works with a different page from the same site. Otherwise I have to add it by hand.

if the directory offer deep links, you can add additional links to your subpage.

Depends one the submission guide of the directory, read it before you submit.

Personally, only allow one submission from one domain.

Read the guidelines. Most free directories won't allow this, and most paid ones will. A lot of directories don't list deeplinks at all, except as part of a paid links package featuring several deeplinks.

Even when a directory will list deeplinks, or multiple pages from the same site, it's best not to try to abuse this. Dmoz, for instance, will only list multiple pages when you have a lot of content that justifies it. If you have less than 50 pages of real content (eg articles, not counting fluff pages such as contact, privacy, etc), then don't even bother submitting additional links, as it will be considered to be spam.

This can be done as long as the site is submitted to two different categories.

just try it first and you will discover which directory will accept your site. As long as you're not send your site to the top category, I'll accept deeplink url.

I allow and even encourage sites to submit up to 3 deep links. Only catch is they must be on topic, to a different page, and submitted to different cat/sub-cat.

I have found most sites only allow one link per site and many require it be to the homepage if not featured.

This is bad advice. Just try it, and what you won't discover is which directories add you to their spam-submitters lists. So it might be that a directory would have accepted one link from you, but if you start off trying to submit several deeplinks, you won't get any in at all, and in addition you may find yourself banned from all the directories run by that owner.
