Can I submit My website to Digg? In the Digg FAQ it says you can submit "news story, video or image". A website is neither a "news story, video or image". But I've read that a site can get exposure there. How's it done? Can you explain Delicious, Technorati and Reddit too, please? Thanks
Well of course you can submit your website to Digg, there are thousands of stories submitted each day. However hitting the front page or even top in any upcoming categories will prove to be extremely difficult, so good luck on that end my friend
Thanks for your reply. You said "thousands of stories submitted each day". So a "story" is a web site?
Digg is a social networking site with a large no of traffic its is one of the best way to publish your site through it as ur site is new to digg so it will take it as Current news. Have a try but do mention the category in which you want to place your site..... It is really important. Your popularity is directly proportional to number of digg you get.. Delicious: It is maily a bookmarking site where you can bookmark your site and make it popularize. You can post your link and make it bookmarked on delicious. Reedit: The basic concept is same as Digg here also you have to put your favorite stories or news according to given catagories. Thus you can increase your popularity try to put current news let the people though you thus you get recognized by maximum people . Best of luck Paul Banks
Digg is a social news Web site that allows users to post and vote on user-submitted content. Digg users submit news stories, such as content that bloggers generate, which are then promoted to the front page through a user-based ranking system maintained by the Digg community. Stories and Web sites that make the front page of Digg.com can lead to thousands of unique visitors within a very short period of time and can lead other Web sites, typically blogs and news Web sites, to link to your Web site. The primary advantages of submitting your content to Digg include increased Web site traffic and links back to your Web site from bloggers and news services that use Digg to find cool stories to write about.
A website is a new story. Digg is social bookmarking site, the most effective way to promote your site. you just click add new story . you have submit your content ......that's it.????
Yeah ...Digg is one of the top bookmarking site. You can very well submit your Website Link in it, In"story" category. Rgds
IMHO it is fine to submit your article to Digg. Do not, however, try to vote it up over and over again all by yourself.
You can find a bunch of how to guides and even more sites where you can submit your website and get a nice amount of traffic
You definitely can. Do keep in mind that digg links have become no-follow but as someone pointed out there are ways to get a sizeable amount of diggs and that alone will result in a good boost for your site.
Yes you can submit your website to digg but if you only submit your website and blogs on digg so your account will get banned so you have to digg what others are sharing on Digg.
Before I answer your question I would ask first, what your goals include a link to your website? If you want to bring in traffic? one conclusion from my "Careful about posting links to social bookmarking, because if we lose a rival website with social bookmarking sites that could be drowned in our web site search engine because it lost popularity with social bookmarking sites, even the most severe google will consider our website as a website spam. as an example we will enter one of our articles on the social bookmarking site, try the article was already indexed in google previous already indexed if we enter a new url that our article (this is to avoid duplicate content) because google does not like the duplicate content. I have one plugin which I think is very great, because with this plugin each time I write new articles, five minutes later my article was directly indexed in google
Last year one of my sites was banned from Digg because somebody said that I was spamming by digging my own site. The ban happened after just five story digs and they were mixed in with other sites that I dug. Tread carefully.
