The rules state: This might be a silly question but my account is around 2 years old, so does this mean I cannot become an established member without having to pay for a premium account?
Partially correct... If you still don't meet the requirements for being an established member after 2 years, you still won't become one just because you have an old account. The incorrect part is related to premium membership... The only thing you get with premium membership is just that... Premium membership. Premium membership does NOT give you established member status/benefits.
Right I see, so now if I get 3 likes on my posts... I can still become an "established member" right? If so, it really is not written very clearly here - https://forums.digitalpoint.com/help/established
Seems pretty straightforward and clear when I jut looked at it. What would you suggest it say differently?
OK, having read it again it seems i misread it the first time! My bad!! However, I would suggest changing: "Specifically, you become an established member 48 hours after you register AND 3 different existing established members "Like" a post you wrote" to "Specifically, you become an established member from 48 hours of registering and once you have received a minimum of 3 likes from existing established members" Just to clarify.
Hmmm... Not sure changing "after registering" to "from registering" makes it more clear. In fact, I'd argue "after" is more clear than "from".
