Focus in a niche. Learn everything about it. Be the best. You can find all the info you need around the web. It will take time though, but with enough dedication you could make it easily.

You're not off to a good start with the spelling of your title.

Absolutely yes. Stop thinking about it and get to work.

Statistically, on the average, the college graduate earns far more over the course of his/her career than those who did not graduate from college.

I've always subscribed to the theory that in this business world in which we live it takes one of two things to succeed: (1) a marketable degree, or (2) a marketable skill. Either one will work, as long as that degree or skill is marketable.

The best part of the whole Internet marketing/web development/webmaster jobs etc. is you can learn whatever you want. Literally, if you want to learn how to program, the internet has made it super easy by giving you every tutorial you ever wanted at your fingertips.

I look at it like this ... There are two kinds of mindsets people have. The employee mindset (working for someone else) or being an entrepreneur (starting a business/service). You can go to school for 4-8 years and get your masters degree and pray that you land a good job when you're done or you can get a self taught degree by learning first hand and applying the knowledge.

A lot of people walk out of school with their 4 year degree and have no idea where to start because they have no real world experience. Remember it's not knowing what to do, it's doing what you know.

In my opinion nothing beats experience. You can learn all you want but if you aren't doing and applying what you learn then it is useless.

I'm not saying don't go to school but definitely don't worry if you don't have the money for an expensive degree. You just need to be resourceful and you can learn whatever you want with books/internet. All you need to do is take action! =)
