I have a database of products which I am interested in sharing with some agents. We are looking into the possibility of having an RSS feed so that they can have access to my database. Im not sure how this works, does the feed contain every product which the agents will then have to download and then upload onto their server? What happens if say they only want products in a certain category? Do I need a seperate RSS Feed? Or can the feed by generated dynamically so that they request from us say any products within a certain price range and an RSS feed is returned with the resulting records? Also once the user has the RSS feed, how do they use this to show the details on their website? Do they have to write a parser program to parse the XML and then write it to a database?
