Okay, so someone advised me to send real crappy links to my new YouTube video in order to get some traffic. They said that you can send pathetic links to YouTube or Amazon or Pinterest. Well is that true? Can I do that? Hasn't Google already slammed pages with crappy links?
You're talking about traffic not PR or serps. If they're crappy links then it's unlikely they'll have traffic - otherwise they'd be good links. If you are hoping that lots of links will make Google treat you better in the serps then you are right, and your buddy is wrong.
Hmm... But Sarah, all of my website's have real good links from relevant places, and I can't say that they all score good in terms of traffic. What I really meant to ask was that since YouTube, Pinterest etc. are already established websites, sending them crappy links wouldn't hurt their rankings and at the same time my personal space over there will get traffic?
I think my video is really good. Its about a few tips on weight loss. But it is new, and I read somewhere that unless you get about 300 views in your video, YouTube doesn't really bother to show it in searches. Well, I don't know how far that is true, but would really like to know ways to build links to my YouTube video. Because I know one thing - good links should bring some traffic.
Good links will - but you were asking about crappy links. Read up on this forum - a lot of the basics apply. Get busy on social media like twitter - you can even instagram those funny shots where you pause the camera and the beautiful person looks wonky.
Lol. I liked your idea. I would love to like it, but can't find the like button... Thanks for the suggestion though
You can send crappy links to your video and get it rank on the on the first page of google. Do you no that you can get traffic to your site by commenting on other youtube videos that is related to your niche? If you can make 10 comments on other youtube videos everyday, you will not only get traffic but also sales. A lot of people doing this on youtube are making a lot of money from the traffic they got from commenting alone. Just give it a try!!!
Definitely not true, I run a small YT channel for a gaming community, sometimes views are lower than 100 but they will still show up in search.
Google doesn't penalise big authority sites so you can get away with spamming on such sites. Most YouTube videos ranking for affiliate keywords were promoted using this method. It involves building lots of crappy links to your YouTube videos to get them ranking as fast as possible. Sometimes your video might get taken down or devalued and all you have to do if something like that ever happens is to rinse and repeat.
