So I consume atom feeds and the like regularly.. (full articles not just blogs) is it possible to sell say dumps of 2/3 million blog posts? all the private ones are removed and technically the content would be free, is publically available for syndication, just fee would cover my time and resources aquiring it for your research/syndication needs.. I dunno.. thoughts and if possible facts!
It depends. Some might say it is fine, but some may disagree. If the original blog website has a copyright statement stating that you can't copy then technically it is infringment. Well, that's what I would say. What do others think?
I've read the full terms and it's all royalty free, however I wouldn't want to go contacting a few million people, this said they all published the content agreeing to it being redistributed and royalty free. And I'm simply selling my time to gather the content.. so??
If you've read the terms, and they allow for redistribution for a fee, or commercial distribution of the works, then you may be fine. Of course, without reading the actual terms it would be impossible to know what is legally permissible.
