Ok guys, I need some serious opinions.

    My site is PR4. Valid.
With hundreds of inner pages also at PR2, PR3, and PR4
The site's Alexa rank is 19K.
The site gets anywhere from 300,000 to 650,000 unique visitors a month.
Around 1.5 million total pageviews a month.
The site makes about $700-$1000 every month from adsense, and selling ads to private buyers.
The site costs nearly nothing to run, all traffic is organic, search engine traffic and such. Never spent a penny on advertising.

How much do you guys think I could sell the site for? I want to know I could sell it for at least $10,000. I've never sold a site before, so I want some serious posters to help me out. The site is the first one in my sig.

Id say it would go for $15,000 because you can monetize this site much better.

A site or domain is like a piece of rare art... it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it, nothing more, nothing less. That said however it is pretty common for a site to get 3-5 years of revenue for a price so you should be able to get 10K for it if you can find the right buyer.

p.s.- how much do you sell ads for? I have a similar site, I might be interested if it's a reasonable price.

If somebody offered me $15K for the site right now, I'd most likely sell.

Still...looking for more opinions. Please guys, all input is appreciated.

    Don't sell the site.

I hate people who sell their websites. In a few years there will be dedicated companies who make sites, and then sell it off. Is what the future you want?

    Complete non-sense!

Based on the information you have provided, you can easily sell it for $10k. $15 - $20k would be the fair selling price. Of course the basic assumption is that you can prove the revenue and the site has been generating this much revenue consistently for at least 3-4 months.

Can you PM your site's URL?

I don't understand how you make only $700-1000 with 1.5 million pageviews...

Also I don't understand how a site that shows 1.5 million pages costs "almost nothing to run"...

We make $4,500/month every month from a site that shows only 500,000 pageviews/month, and we pay a pretty penny for hosting at that...

Unless you are really desperate to sell - I'd say hold on to it - try to sell it in auction on sitepoint if you really need to let it go..

I sold a few sites over there and never had a problem

But you get cash every month, it would take you a year to find a buyer (maybe) and you would have your 12k already by that time.

Why would it take a year to find a buyer?

frodosringfinger, don't listen to them :)

The figure I gave you via PM is more than realistic. You will have no trouble at all selling the site on sitepoint.

After adding only in-text advertising and one more banner somewhere visible (if you don't want to overload your site with ads) you can easily raise your revenue per 1,000 pageviews to at least $2.00.

1,500,000 pageviews per month / 1,000 pageviews * $2.00 = $3000 per month revenue. Normally you can ask for full year's revenue which would put the price already at $36,000.

And you can make it even more than that.

I really suggest you to experiment with that before you even consider selling.

You should try selling your site for around the amount that you make in 5 years through the site i guess.
