I have got a website, which has got lots of outgoing links and also ads. Is it possible to see with Google Analytics which links or ads are users clicking and through this are going away from my site.

Yes, it is quite possible with Event Tracking in Google Analytics, you can activate event tracking and google will provide you with the detailed reports of the links which have been getting clicked. Please let me know should you need further information in this regard

I tried doing this a few years ago. I had to put a JavaScript onclick event to every link that I wanted to track (maybe there are plugins making the job easier now).

you can use event tracking when you have
    • Any Flash-driven element, like a Flash website, or a Flash Movie player
    • Embedded AJAX page elements
    • Page gadgets
    • File downloads
    • Load times for data
for tracing behavior of your pages, you can use visitor flow or inpage analytics in GA. You will see there drop off in visitor flow and percentage in inpage analytics. And yes if you wanna check behavioral of particular url, you can set Goal. you can use following link for event tracking... I hope it will help you.
