    hi all :)

right now in one of my site my folders are like that

    htttp://www.mysite.can/uselessfolder/mypages.html

i'd like to change that to

    htttp://www.mysite.can/mypages.html

i will lose the indexed pages but i don't care as the site is new and has very few visitors, but i wonder if google will see some duplicate content, say if google does index the pages without the folder but still has the pages in the folder in its cache.

    what do you think?

Go right ahead and preserve your rankings almost entirely with the use of 301 redirects.
