Hi One of my competitors took one of my articles and placed in on their site but did not include credit to me, this is clearly laid out in the article sites T & C's. I contacted the site owner and asked them to either include credit to me or remove the article immediately. I have had to reply to my email but I checked the site and the page containing the article "APPEARS" to has been removed. However this page still ranks number two in google for the two main keywords, when you click on the link in the serps the page containing the article still loads for a few seconds and then redirects to another page. My question is there a way I can ask Google to remove this page from their search results? Otherwise they are still benefiting from my work? Thanks in advance Dee
I believe google will eventually remove the result if the page no longer exists. If not, you can send a DMCA notice.
Google will eventually remove it. You can speed this process up by letting them know. Also, ask the site owner to fully delete the page.
Google actually has a form specifically for this purpose. I can't post the link but search "Google DMCA" select "web search" and then "A piece of content I am concerned about has already been removed by the webmaster but still appears among the search results"
