    Hi,

A friend of mine runs a forum and I have offerered to "rent" space on his forum to place MY adsense adverts. Is this allowed? Can I run adverts for more than one website from the same account?

    Thanks

As far as I know you can. As long as you have permission to be on that website. Someone correct me if I'm wrong :)

that is true, my content sites far out perform my forums, and if i do get clicks it is mostly from the content pages added to the forum site not the forum itself. But I'm sure if it has a member base like DP it would make some good money for you :)

Well its actually a "chat site" with profiles etc and there are over 7,000 active members so it will be a sitewide rent of space.

I'm hopefully going to rent a space in the header and in the right gutter. Does anyone else feel other areas of space are more critical?

Also just to confirm there is no problem using 1 adsense account for many websites?

    Thanks

Yes, you can, unless, of course, your friend also puts his adsense on the same page.
One adsense account is allowed to use for multiple sites

I have mine on 50 sites. I would rather get in the middle of the page towards the top and blend the ads (468x60 and or 234x60) in with no border and match the font/link colors of the site. Hope it works out for you!

The only relevant clause I can find in the ToS is this:

So if yours is the only Adsense that will be displayed then there shouldn't be a problem.

However I vaguely remember some stipulation that you are only allowed to post your Adsense ads on sites you have direct control over. They must either have removed it or I'm remembering it from another service's ToS, as I can't find it.

Just be very careful with the content of the site, and make sure that it's well moderated.

I think you can but why put yourself in a situation that could get you banned. You do not control the site and if your friend makes a mistake and you end up losing your account who are you going to blame? If you are going to take the time to put ads on your friends site you can just as easy do it to your own site.
