    Hi

    I have one question.

Can I remove that 1px image next to every affiliate text amazon link?

Will the clicks and buyings still be counted if I remove that image? What is it used for anyway?

    Thank you for your help!

The image is used to track the traffic on your page. Removing it will not prevent you from getting a commission when someone buys, as long as your links are properly formed. The abbreviated link is what I use and it works just fine. Example:

    amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00068XCQU/YourAssociateCode-20/

Obviously, you change the actual ASIN code and your affiliate number to be what they need to be.

I won't remove the image as any mistake could result to you not earning any referral through that link.

You can definately remove the 1px image, I always do. It is for traffic stats and I am not even sure you can see that anywhere (possibly for Amazon only).
