Can I register multiple urls with the same page content?

    I'm creating websites using sub domain names and sub directory files, but I just registered a "cleaner" domain name for my content.

    I have advertising in place for the old URLS so I don't want to scrap them.

    Can I just leave them as is and upload my content to the new URL without penalty?

    Would Google allow more than one listing to come up for the exact same page?

    What to do?

    Thanks,:confused::)

    you might consider doing redircts on your initial pages >

    old pages > (redirect) new pages

    I've certainly seen multiple listings from the same site for a given keyphrase, but each page had different content. In your case I'd think there would be a duplicate content penalty.

    No - it would be considered duplicate content, and will not rank. It's safer to simply 301 redirect everything to the new domain.
