I've published my e-commerse site about 4 months ago. But it was my first experience as a webmaster. Made too many faults and I think I've penalized by Google algorithm 2 months ago (There is no message about penalizing on Webmaster Tools) I have fixed most of my faults but I have no hope for my page. I'm writing unique tags, descriptions etc for each products but I'm afraid if my page cannot recover from filter. If I move same site (with same theme, same image names etc), algorithm might punish me again? Or you have an advise? Additional information: Google indexes my site well, my homepage hasn't disappeared. But I'm not in first 500 at most of keywords.
if you were penalized 2 months ago then it's Panda. It's very easy to recover from Panda. Just make sure each page has unique description, including product descriptions, then wait for new panda refresh. Google run a Panda refresh each month. Your website will not be 100% recovered from first refresh. you need to wait like 4-6 refreshes to be fully recovered. it's not worth to change the domain name, especially if you created some back links.
Actually I don't have back links. I haven't made any SEO work yet. But I got more than 100 customers %100 happy, don't want to make them think to my site is a FAIL. I have fixed many things: Fixed non-canonical links which caused 700+ duplicate meta description and titles. Removed stupid product tags, optimized images, removed all crap links from google index etc. Now I'm writing unique tags and descriptions for each product. But progress is too slow because of I'm working alone. I can complete maximum 5 products per day. But I'm being demoralized day by day and it prevents to do my work.. Here is the statistics from February 16 (The day which my site has started to fall) -> Today And here is the recent statistics which I have started to understand and fix my faults. It has dramatically fallen again, it causes me to be demoralized
you can buy a new domain and add redirect. I know Penguin will pass the penalization but I'm not sure about panda pm the website URL and I can have a look on your content
if you dont have any backlinks yet but still got penalized, then it is for your poor onsite optimization or over-optimization. i dont see the need for changing the domain in your case. there are couple of factors to consider here. when you launch a new site, google loves the fresh content of that site and gives your site an initial boost in ranking. that initial high ranking doesn't stay for long, unless you launch an off-site optimization or link building campaign to begin with. even with the right link building campaign, your site can drop in ranking and can recover back the ranking in couple of months. just fix the onpage issue and start a legitimate link building campaign. your site should recover in 2-3 months timeframe.
