Can I put Google adsense Ads on Web Directory website ?

Hi!

I have a Web Directory ( http://www.valuabledirectory.com ). This site had 524 Unique visitors and 945 total number of visitors for August 2009. Since the traffic is good, I want to earn by putting Google ads on this website.

I believe that Google Adsense ads can be put on sites with content. My site contains only links ( being a directory). But I have seen many web directories on the internet using Google Ads. So, I am confused.

I don't want to loose my Google account. Seek your valuable suggestion.

With this much traffic on directory site you will make just very little. Why to risk the ban for such a little money.

 

I have adsense on my web directory last few months ago, and it still running. As long as you dont break Adsense TOS, and i dont think here is one of them

 

It is fine to do so, but because it's a directory - I don't think the ads will be very well targeted. But it's certainly worth a try. Good luck!

 

You'll be fine putting Adsense on the directory. If you get 1% - which is a pretty good average - of visitors clicking on an Ad though, you'll likely earn very little from 500 or so visitors a month.

 

Try to make a new adsense account with wife or relative .Then do this risky play

 

If I was you I would pass on adsense for this site altogether and just charge people for "sponsored listings" on some of the major pages.
