Not likely. Check the AdSense TOS. If that doesn't make it clear, email AdSense.

Yes, you may. AdSense doesn't allow any other "contextual" links, while CJ links are not contextual but static links. I do it and it works great. Helps double my revenue.

It's quite easy to start generating sales with CJ if you have the right target audience. Just sign up with AdSense and then be on your marry way with both CJ and AdSense running. Both are friendly networks :)

I guess what I don't understand is what are "contextual" links? Automated content ads like Adsense only, or are any ads that match the content "contextual" links?

If I have a website on the history of sprockets, and have Adsense on the sites, can I go to CJ and set up a SmartZone with ads from Spacely Sprockets and Coswell Cogs and put it on my site? Or do I need to make sure the ads are all about totally unrelated products?

Contextually means that the adsense does all the work for you and puts up any ads relevant to your CONTENT. So yes, as you described. When you go and setup CJ links in the smartzones, nothing is contextually, but is based on everything you think will be relevant for your users. AdSense simply doesn't want competition on the same page, such as Yahoo! Publisher Network or other like networks. It's a safe-zone for them and helps keep them as #1 in the books. CJ ads are different because they are simple text links and have no contextual code behind them. Put up as many CJ links as you would like, adsense limits you to 3 ad units.
