    Hi ,
I have a question for ebay affiliates and it is if I can promote the ebay links using google adwords or overture and if this is against the rules of ebay partnership, because I really don't see many sponsored results on google when searching for the term ebay.

    Best Regards

I guess it depends what your selling, small to medium prices its not really worth the time and extra cost. If people want what you are selling they are likely to use eBay's search or type your product in. If you think you can make a good ROI go for it, but i would only do it if i was selling product with high markups involved.

You should have read the pages I gave you links to:)

"Display URL: Google will only show one ad per display URL for each search query. This means that if another affiliate ad for the same site outperforms you, that ad will show instead of yours. Learn more about our affiliate URL policy. "

LOTS of people are promoting ebay but only one ebay url gets displayed per serp.

Why not just put a different display URL to "live auction" of something similar??

    Wouldn't it still be ebay.com/something-else-here?

I have seen the display URL point to an entirely different domain, and know someone who has done this in the past but got found out in about a month, so for something like an eBay listing it might work. Give it a try.

Because it's hard to make a decent profit doing that.

Once they catch it they'll discontinue the ad. They catch you enough they'll terminate your AdWords access.

Very true, would not work if you were trading a lot. Although eBay ads are usually only on max of 10 days at a time, could be a long time before you get terminated?

GuyFromChicago do you know if this display URL rule is the same across all of the paid advertising programs? Overture, MIVA, MSN? if not perhaps thats one solution might not be as good quality traffic.

Thanks alot guys for the Info , I am not promoting my products but I am trying to get people to sign up in ebay or to bid or buy , I am promoting links for the ebay in germany and I have read the rules but there is a sentence about Adwords that I didn't really understood, that is why I am asking because I think the rules for all ebay affiliate programms is the same.

Little off topic but found a niche I'd like to try for a few days where based on Google's search I will promote to ebay.com hoping to get a commission on winning bid etc. My problem is, I did this in past where these "rover" URL links were not an issue so I'm confused as heck on how to get my new campaign going with proper tracking URL's that will work. Any URL's or info is appreciated on getting these setup properly. TIA,

Ebay has a nice deal set up with adwords. Don't bother going the ebay adwords route.
