If the purpose of a manual-surf site is to inflate your impressions and clicks to your adsense ads then it would not be permitted.

Feel free to try them but if you do, remove your adsense if you do not want to be banned.

Yes, you are very likely to get banned.

Think about it from an advertisers point of view, your traffic isn't going to be worth very much is it?

I once advertised one of the pages that had a google ad with a manual-surf site. Google sent me an email threatening to ban me if I will continue doing that...

You can do it if you use Splash pages that say Enter here that lead to your website and have no Adsense Ads on it.. I have a page here explaining some good sites to use for this.. www.dothanclassifiedads.com/ppcsplash.html

I would think it's best to just totally avoid it.
Google doesn't want any traffic from those type of programs at all. Don't try to trick them.

They are mostly right, yes - you will get your account banned from Google.

What they are wrong about is that it is junk traffic.

Manual Traffic Exchange traffic can work REALLY well, depending on your market, and the product you are trying to sell - oh, and if you are making, like 1 cent a day on Adsense, maybe you might like to think about monetizeing your site in different ways,

For traffic exchange advertising to work, it needs to be direct and to the point, attention grabbing stuff. So, webpages that take 2 minutes to load, or pages that have too much info on, will not get their attention. Usually a single offer to grab their attention works the best.

On my Traffic Exchange, we also incorporate a full text and banner exchange. If you decide to maybe go with affiliate marketing, or Adbrite you can use my trafficbunnies text ads and get extra traffic that way.

if you (or anyone else) wants some help setting up some stuff to get good traffic, please let me know - I would be happy to help you out :)
