Can i prevent my site not to show from my own country?

hello experts.... can i prevent my site from showing it on my own country ip? i.e if it will be opened in my won country it will display a blank page or something else... i dont want my site to be displayed in my own country.. i have a lot of friends that knows my site i want to prevent them from clicking my ads so that i will not be baned ... i'm afraid coz sometimes they will send me some jokes that they click and click my ads.. but what if its true? please help..

block IP range of your country in htaccess file

 

Just block the ads in your IP range. Don't block the site.

how can you possible just block ads based on IP range? I dont get that point maybe you can elaborate.

This could be possible if you are running openads or some properitary service to manage ads or else it looks out of scope.

 

I think he asked "how to block a country from accessing the site" not only ads

your can block your country ip ranges but you will not be able to see own ads too

 

Block ur countries ip range but u will get banned too

 

But what interests me more is why do u want to do such a thing?

 

may be there is some people in his country that clicks bombs adsense ads
i used to hv this problem before and i had to block some ISP ip rang and singles ips not the whole country

 

Thanks for all of you guys... yeah maybe i have to block only ISP ip range i dont want to banned with adsense. can i ask where should i placed the .htaccess code? i'm not familiar on it. is it a php code? i dont have idea i dont have much knowledge in IT. Anyone can give me a code? and i'll just copy it and save to what folder it will be saved?


just additional question.. if they used proxy can they view the site?
