I think you can post one article in many directories as long as the content of your article is your original work. there will be no problem with that.

No, but I suggest that you do that after Google indexes your site. :)

Your article will be seen as duplicate content but for the most part the search engines will still love it for the links. If you have them on there.....

I would try a spinning program if you are submitting them by hand. Hopefully some day a person will invent a spinner program and a submitting program in one package so we can go bonkers on articles.

First submit it at your site and while submitting at different articles directories specify that you are the owner of the article and try to place your sites article link.

I don't see anything wrong with submitting one article to different directories. Besides, there are softwares that promotes submitting an article to many directories. I'm using Article Announcer, and it's fast and easy to use.

Just make sure to submit the article once only. I agree with princess that it becomes content duplication if you post the same content on the same site.

if you do that make sure that the page of your site on where the article was located has been indexed first rather than your blog...though IMO i'll rather create other articles to be put on my blog rather than to copy the ones in my site...:)

Content is the key factor for SEO, as we all know. I think duplicate content means copying any part of content of which exists on the web. May be its from blog or from website. Never think of putting the same concept into other ways. Thats also duplicate.

As far as Article placement in different sites is concerned, i have seen may sites copying same article already published in prweb.com or prleap.com . Search Engines don't consider those as duplicate.

Have fun, contribute your feelings to the web. :)

if it is your original article, whether it will be content duplication or not is irrelevant 'cos you will have byline/footer with link back to your own website. I presume you do post to your own website first before you start posting in other article directories...:D

The definition of "duplicate" is an exact copy of the original. So if you put the same article in 2 places then they are duplicates.

There is no duplicate content penalty, its just that if Google finds hundreds of sites with the same content it will only show the sites it trusts the most.

Unfortunatly Google won't always show the site that published the content first.
