My post is about hypocritcal morons and their posts, not threads or particular forums and their topics.

 

I quit reading that section as I noticed that anytime a comment is made questioning the US government's actions, they are callled a "terrorist supporter" or an "anger white male", or some acronyms I dont know.

Past that, talking about if the iraq war is going well, or if 2 dudes can marry will not increase the value of my sites...

 

I agree with this point, but I have the best solution i.e. Ignore'em.

This forum worths way more than leaving because of REP, Moronic posts or hypocritical members

 

That thread speaks for itself IMO. It had nothing to do with them linking to their site.

 

I was going to say the same thing. You can't fault the quality or usefulness of Digital Point based on general chat. General chat is the cheese cloth that keeps all the sediment off the rest of the site.

If someone just hangs out in General chat and complains about lack of good information, well that is on them.

This site is pretty large, and there are lots of different pockets. Most people never read General Chat I suspect, let alone post in there. If you find yourself caught up in stupid arguments, then maybe you should spend more time in other parts of the site, Noppid.

I know why General chat forums exist on specialized forums, but I think the whole thing is silly. If I wanted to talk about religion or politics, I would go someplace where that is what the fcous of the site is. If I wanted to talk about cell phones, I would go to cell phone site etc. I know people like to share with other community members off topic subjects, so they server a purpose... but to judge a focused site based on its off-topic forums is simply silly.

I personally never understood the need for drama. If you are going to leave leave and be done with it. I don't understand the desire to burn bridges or potentially look foolish when you come back in a few months. People's lives change, what appeals to them changes, and sometimes what is good today is not so good tomorrow. That does not mean everything needs to be the victim of a scorched earth policy behind you.

 

I agree with aeiouy just leave no need for a thread cahnge everything PM shawn and get it over with. I agree with you on some of your reasons that im not going to state but this forum is a great place and great for business. He'll be back wehn he see's his business falling. I agree with somethings but thats not enough to leave. Just stop posting in certain forums and you will be fine.
