I respectfully request my account closed and deleted. I no longer wish to be a part of these forums. I know my posts will remain but I wish for my username and password to be changed. I am unable to edit my username and I don't wish to be associated with this place anymore.

I have had enough of the poor moderation, reputation system, and members who have a big ego.

Thanks to all and see you on the better domainer forums.

    Purely Disagree.

I Never saw a type of poor moderation here.
Reputation system : Depends on the quality of your posts.
Members with big ego : No one can solve this.

How can u feel that Moderation here is poor?

I ain't here to debate or converse anymore. I just want my name removed so that people won't attempt to contact me here. Once that's done..I am gone for good.

I think labrocca is feeling neglected. First he asks for infractions and now want's special attention cause he does not want to play with us at DP anymore.

Sound to me like someone needs a nap. ;)

If I can't respect the staff on a site I can't participate. Lately I am just fed up with how this site is run. I don't agree nor like many of the changes here. I can't even say I like most of it's members. I don't do anything here I can't do elsewhere. I will of course be on other forums and I am joining a couple new ones to see if they feel right.

This decision has been on my mind for a few weeks now. It was made today though because of this thread:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=106967

I recieved a red rep from it and the staff isn't taking action on a blatant PM spammer. This isn't my kind of site anymore ...if it ever was. At first I considered this site pretty relaxed. Unfortunately so does the staff. It's basically a free for all for abuse here. Bad posts, bad rep system, bad PM's, bad advice...you name it.

I believe that should clear up why I am out.

Still waiting on my name change so I can leave officially. Maybe mods can't change username?

I recieve am minimum of 5 PM's each day.

I cannot sort out each PM and tell the MODS to ban that member or give him an infraction.
PM's can not be opened up alwas and cannot be dealt by MODS.

And in the regular threads i faced no problems as whenever i report any bad post they in no time respond to it and do the action.

Who told you that? Just because we don't detail exactly what was done, that certainly doesn't mean nothing was done. Mods and admins are not obligated to write a report back to people who report stuff.

In fact, if you want to get technical, you reported it on Jul 11, 2006 @ 4:39 pm, and appropriate action was taken against that user at Jul 11, 2006 @ 4:45 pm. I'm sorry if 6 minutes wasn't fast enough for you... {shrug} If you are expecting anything better/faster elsewhere, then all I can say is good luck. :)

Not only that, but you never bothered to ask what was done either... so I'm not sure what to tell you... But I guess, "bye".

Yeah well if you read that thread there is not a single indication that anything was done. As a matter of fact one would think your moderators thought it wasn't spam.

No one can tell who the mods here are.

Shawn..I posted in the site suggestion and feedback area for the staff. One would think that if staff took action that staff would post such. Appearances are everything. I think you are a nice person Shawn. I got nothing bad to say about you. But I have to wonder if this site is getting beyond you or if you simply aren't paying attention to what's going on.

I don't mean to be a pain but I would be very happy if you indulge my request to change my username.

How about "RectangleMan"...as a suggestion if you needed one.

Again..I got nothing against you...I just feel it's best I move on before I blow my top one day and get myself banned. It's better if I just leave on my own.

As I mentioned previously, it's not an admin/moderators obligation to detail out what actions were taken on a reported post/PM, etc. Especially if no one asked. That would be a TON of extra work to write up a report for every reported item (probably a full time job for someone just for that). If you would have asked, I would have told you since I was the one that took care of it (6 minutes after the report).

    It's always been public info...

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showgroups.php

I don't agree that the staff should be required to detail out everything they do (especially without anyone asking).

That's the first time I've heard someone say this site was beyond me to be honest... I also wouldn't agree with that, considering I'm the one that (personally) took care of it in this case (again, 6 minutes after it was reported).

No problem by me. Done. :)

    Thank you sir.

btw...it takes like 30 seconds or less to close my topic and post something quick like

Instead I get red reps and bullcrap about boobs in the thread.

    Well that's my last post.

    Bye.

True... I'm not sure if you were expecting moderators to report infractions by other users to you as well, but in reality, the boob posts also earned the poster an infraction. So from my standpoint, it looks like the mods are doing an outstanding job.

If you really think mods sit around and do nothing, watch the Spy thing some time. To each their own I guess... I wish you well in your hunt for a forum that's up to your standards. :)

I think its the downside of being part of such a successful forum.

I used to just forward spam to the mods but now I just turn off my PM's and its a lot easier.

anyway I will be suprised if you can stay away... but you wont be the first to say good bye and stick around ;)
