I made this today and added to the marketplace but so far- noones interested in buying... I personally like it alot but what's wrong with it that's putting people off buying? C+C greatly appreciated. Thankyou
I think your navigation menu button's don't fit with the rest of the theme. Make some nice round buttons without a gradient in a matching color with your theme.
I agree with the above comment about changing the links on the left. Couple of other comments. The entire thing uses a non-websafe font. Change the text on the links and all other body copy to a web safe font, this would be impossible to code without using sIfr or some other font swapping method. Move the 'your site' logo up a bit, as it is now with a part overlapping the nav would make it hard to code. Change the color of the gray top nav tabs to something else, that gray color doesn't really work with the other vibrant colors. Move the tabbed nav down a bit to give the text a bit of breathing room. You might also consider flipping them upside down and having them just above the 'place content here' but still in the blue header... I hope that makes sense. Maybe make the header a little shorter, there is currently some odd wasted space in the blue, maybe if you put the tabs on the bottom this would help, you will have to see what looks best when you/ if you do it. Add some type of footer. Also, I am assuming that you are selling this un-coded. I don't really know how much of a market there is for un-coded designs so you might want to consider coding this or paying someone else to do it and then sell it that way. Another option would be to code it and then try and find sponsors for it and put their links in the footer and release it for free at popular free template sites.
From my humble opinion: 1. Consistency of web layout. Some rounded on four sides, some rounded on two sides and some totally square. Pick one. 2. In the header menu, why there is an empty space between the menu button and content page? Consider use green button same as on side-bar for unity. 3. On the left side-bar menu layout and design, need improvement. Back to step 1, use rounded corner or just simple square instead of combo. 4. On the left side-bar bgcolor, choose lighter grey. 5. On content page, title should be hero- BIG (in this case maintain-big enough), date and time posted (smaller than title) and comments link below (smaller or same size as date and time). 6. as eruct mention above, use websafe font only. Hey my design principle is think global BUT act local! To your success, Allen
