I think you can, but they should not look like adsense so choose a different colour scheme. I would suggest reading the FAQ of Adsense, youll get a better idea.

Yes, Google has no problem with other networks, As long as they are differentiated from Adsense. Also keep an eye, the ads displayed by the other ad network should comply with Google TOS. Recently Adbrite is displaying forex related ads everywhere. Make sure you won't get such ads.
I was offered by one of friendlyduck.com representative, she said that the cost per lead has been raised to 12 euro per person that register their free trial thru my site. I just opted in to their affiliate, but after then she gave me 3 example of sites that is currently in friendlyduck.com network. SADLY after I checked the three of it, out 2 of 3 were BANNED BY ADSENSE. So I just asked to her, to give me more example because I don't want to jeopardy my Adsense account, specially with something that I don't know the chance on making money. She returned me back with 3 other domains that is running friendlyduck.com, BUT again one of them is also BANNED BY ADSENSE. I just then said to her that I will opt out from their network .. I'm not saying that friendlyduck.com is not FRIENDLY with Adsense, but you judge yourself from my experience above
