Can I pay someone to advertise for me?

I have built some successful sites, but my problem is that I am not a salesman. Sites like Google Adwords can only go so far before you begin paying more than the real traffic you receive. The best way to gain traffic is when you manually create eye catching ads and speak to people in detail about what your service has to offer. I see a lot of good salesman go berserk with excitement about their product and it seems to work. I cannot do this, so I am willing to pay someone who can.
