Can I opt out of Google placement ads?

I have found that one of my blogs does really well with contextual ads but very poorly with placement ads. Can I opt out of placement ads? I'd earn a lot more. The blog is with blogger.com.

I thought you had to opt-in for placement ads. Maybe blogger is different. I'm sure someone else might know.

    You know what thought did!

I did mention the blog was with blogger. Nowhere in my adsense account do I see anything about opting for contextual or placement - if anyone knows different I'd like to hear from them please. The only choice (as far as I can tell) is for contextual based on content and contextual based on visitor history.

Please refer to the original post and answer that - don't just write the first thing that comes into your head which provides no answers - they should make that a rule on DP

In your Adsense Control Panel, look for Adsense Setup, then choose Adsense Review Center. You can set it up to have the placement ads run automatically, or you can review and allow/block them. Note, though, that if you block, you give a reason and the advertiser gets to see that reason....

Thanks - your instructions are always so clear. I wasn't asked for a reason why I was blocking them but would answer that they don't pay as much as contextual ads nor enjoy as good a CTR. Perhaps they'll email me?

    Thanks again
