Can I open a USD Current Account in my country to accept USD from Direct Deposit?

    Hi all,

I am going to open a USD Foreign Currency Current Account in my country, Singapore, so that I can accept USD from ClickBank's Direct Deposit.

My concern is that ClickBank rules stated that "Direct deposit is done in your local currency." Does this means that I cannot open a USD Foreign Currency Current Account in my country to accept USD? I do not wish to accept Singapore Dollars, in this case I want to accept United States Dollars directly from ClickBank to my local business bank account in USD. Is this possible?

    Kindly enlighten me. Thanks.

Yes. I have checked and they do direct deposits to Singapore. In addition, I am already qualified for direct deposit. Kindly advise.

You will only get your money in local currency.. I had contacted them for a while before and had similar reply. This is the odd situation and the best thing is ask CB directly.

Maybe you should contact your bank to see if that's possible? I don't think clickbank really bothers choosing the currency, they just pay you in dollars and your bank converts to your bank account's set currency.

If you have an account that operates on dollars the cash will just land there, no currency conversion will take place. I may be wrong, but it's best to call your bank!

You dont need a "USD account", with direct deposit the money is automatically converted to your currency.

You have a good point there! That means I can just go ahead and open a USD Bank Account in Singapore. Then ClickBank will direct deposit the payment in USD without doing any conversion, i.e. I will receive the payment in USD from direct deposit into my USD Bank Account. Am I right to say that?
