can i open a hdfc bank when i live in the us?

hi, I want to open a hdfc bank, the kind that let you create vccs for free. Can i open one if i live in the us? what do i need to do? is there a minimum deposit? what else should i know about applying for the bank?

and also, are there any US alternatives to the HDFC banks that let you create vccs for free?

You want to open a bank account or whole BANK If you are talking about bank account then that pretty easy and same as you do in other banks.

I am from Mumbai, India. I have an HDFC Bank account and I have a credit card got from HDFC Bank Account. Now if you are an NRE you cannot have a saving account opened here in India. Saving account opened in India is only meant for people who is an Indian resident and pay tax accordingly. So check your status before opening a HDFC Bank account here in India, while you are staying all the time in the USA. I hope you understood my point.
