can i move from wordpress to joomla with the content ?

hello guys,

does any body know how to change from wordpress to joomla (1.5) ?
please explain ?
i would lose soo much time in moving posts manually..

any help would be appreciated ..

also there is somthing ..

there is the "export" feature in wordpress, it export all my posts into xml file.
does joomla support importing these types ? if yes .. how ?

Anyway, I honestly can't say if you can do it or not. Right now, I don't think you can unless you do it manually with each post. I could be wrong! It would suck if you had lots of content.

 

You'll probably get to it before I do, but there is a paid Joomla plugin to handle import of "csv" database information.

The sample program will let you do a 5 line import to see if it works for you before you shell out any money.

Let us know if it works and if I get around to it before you do, I'll do the same.

If you have access to your database administration via your webhost, you can usually export your data in csv format.

I'm not a big Word Press fan, because I know Joomla so well, so I've been looking for a conversion tool.
