Hi guys.. i recenlty learned how to installed WORDPRESS.. but now i want o build some website using wordpress.. guys.. can i build website like this i mean a forum or web hosting portal.. etc using a wordpress? plz reply me.. thanks DAVIN
If you want to build a site on another platform then just do that. For example, if you want a forum, you just install a forum script (phpBB, SMF, IPB, vbulletin, etc) If you want a static website, use a static website template. You can build a "static" type of a website by creating pages and posts in Wordpress and just turn the comments and pings off for everything. You can modify the template and tweak it a bit to make it look more like a static site.
Wordpress is software.. just a tool. Pick the right tool for the project. Forum software for Forums, Wordpress for Blogs and simple CMS, Gallery Scripts for images, etc.
I've seen a lot of people use wordpress for a lot of things. However, like the posts above you should use wordpress for blogs and such.
