Hi, I know having a website can make you even more money but are there people who use JUST mailing lists to make money. For example, I can setup a 1 page site maybe with squidoo offering something free to download and add a HTML form that allows them to subscribe. Bascially without having to get a domain and web hosting and still be able to generate a mailing list and make money from it.
so what is exactly your question here? you are answering it yourself already; yes, you can make money without a website, heck, you can even make money without being online at all. be a paperboy
Nice idea... and i am not too sure... but not too unsure about the nature of this working... but i think that you should give it a try and the stuff you will be offering just make sure that is much interesting and make people to give their email id to you for subscription and then market the similar kind of product to them... Could work...
It is definitely possible. I have read about people using squidoo to make a living. Personally I think it would be better in the long run to start a website.
LoL .... Ummm yes .... Landing pages. Hosted galleries (cough porn). Affiliates often have hosted pages to use. Blogs are free. Freeweb hosts. there are sooo many ways to go free .... Do like many others do here .... take a few fake screen shots (or Google "freaking big amount of cash check" and look in google images and copy that) and create a bait thread about how you made so many billion dollars .... then offer your ebook or report about how you done it .... for sale of course and you will get a lot of suckers who buy it - same with traffic ....
Definitely start a website. You can make some money without one, but to make enough to make a difference you need a website. Carol
Yes you can. You can use your skill like for an example, I offer my design service here. So, without having to have a website, I can make money. All you need is a little creativity and effort.
You could also consider the other avenues of making money online...e.g. content creation, programming, designing, etc.
I hope you're being sarcastic as well .... maybe lacking humor ? as I think that I was the only one referring to a scam - and I only wrote that because this threads about the 100th lame thread that I have found today .... and I was being humorous and sarcastic.
Squidoo is an excellent place to get into affiliate marketing, learn the ropes, and start making some money. You can make as many lenses (pages) as you like, and there's a great community. And it costs nothing.
You can definitely earn money without a website. A viable option is to do forum marketing where you promote an affiliate product in an interactive discussion with potential buyers. It's really a better way to get conversions rather than sending an untargeted audience to one of your random websites.
Squidoo is Great, and you can make money from it. One problem with building a business empire on these free services is that you don't know if they will change the rules in the future and one wrong move and they could cancel your account, losing all your hard work. The bonus of having your own domain is "It's Yours". Better if you build up content on many different free services, from blogs to social networks to article submissions etc.
Having a mailing list in itself is weaker compared to having a website with a mailing list, where you own the domain name, and can gather new subscribers to your mailing list. Having a domain with hosting is not that expensive nowadays, so definitely consider it as an option.
