Can i make money from my articles targeted towards over 50's?

I regularly write articles for people over 50 as a hobby and wanted to know if I can monetize this content somehow. I don't have much traffic on my website but how would I go about generating income from the articles? I Probably have over 100 and write about 10 per month.

Can some one experieinced give me a step by step guide of how this is done?

    Cheers

Hi, I'd recommend you focus more on getting traffic before you think about monetizing. Without traffic first, monetizing won't do much for you.

At the end of each article, have a sentence or two that recommends a product/service that helps them with whatever you talked about in the article.

You be the affiliate for these products/services, and if the readers engage with your article, they might click through to the affiliate site and buy something.

Don't sell in the article, just write a good article and recommend something that compliments what you talk about in your article. You can do with with Amazon, Clickbank, CPA offers...just find offers that cater to your target and you should be good.

And of course focus on getting that traffic as well...

Thanks for that Simon and Andrea.

I'll take you up on your advice so far.

Sorry for sounding naive here but I really I am a beginner and there seems like so much information out there I don't know what to read, but what would you say is the best way for me to focus on getting traffic? (i'm already writing content) what are the best techniques ? Do I buy it from somewhere?

    cheers

I would heartily agree with this. Most new Internet Marketers tend to put the proverbial cart before the horse with regards to making money. The first thing they do is to try to monitize without first acquiring a suitable audience.

Here's what I would recommend: Create a new FaceBook presence that addresses the over 50 crowd. Write articles, make posts, find like-minded groups where you can share your thoughts. In other words, build rapport every day. Start drip-feeding your articles.

Pretty soon you'll have a strong following that you can then move over to an email list.

    Facebook is where it's at!

    Best,

Andre said a great thing..before doing anything go for traffic and learn how to get traffic and monetize very less because if the traffic does not be stable than you have to do it again and again.

What I will say is test and test what ever you do because internet marketing depends on stats not on guessing..

    I hope that makes sense..

    Thanks

Thanks for your feedback.OK Great I have content and now I will try to build traffic too. I think I'll create a face book community and take your advice JR but suspect I will again run into the problem of getting loads of people to sign up.

Can I buy relevant traffic at a low cost? IF so how?

    Thanks,

    Algie
