Can i know why my USB PC cam not detected????

    Hi all


    Can any one tell me why my usb pc cam is not detected by my pc? I am using windows xp sp2. it detected before but now its not.when i go to device manager i see "yellow '?' symbol" in it and says device not available. My cam device drivers r working fine. Hope i get a positive response soon.

    Try reinstalling the drivers.

    does you stop the usb before plugging out by the last time when you used?

    please install your cam drivers again that you got with the cam at the time of purchasing it

    Yes i have got the s/w cd and installed .Software or drivers installed successfully, no issues, but when i check the device manager i can see the yellow ? symbol that says " Found new hardware,but the device may not work properly". My cam is not detected even now........

    It might help if you mentioned the brand and model of your PC camera here. That would make it easier for people who has the same camera with you, who might have had trouble having it detected on their machines, and how they got around it.

    Go to Computer Properties! and then Hardware Devices!

    Check & Find is there any Exclamation mark showing on Universal Serial Bus Section

    Yes i do see yellow exclamation mark, is my new cam damaged or the drivers are not working? If so can any one suggest where i can download them.

    If you have a spare PC, or can go to a friend's computer to try out your camera, that would be a good way to tell if it's the camera that's having issues or your OS that is having problems running it.
