    Hi
I'm new to this. I've read FAQ and other info but still have some questions:
    1. What should I do to get links to my website from others?
    2. How many/what ads should I put to my website?
    3. Can I join the network? This is my website: http://www.site4re.com/view/

    To answer your questions

    1) Join up, get some "weight" and start creating ads to for your website, which will be placed on others websites.

    2) I'd put 5 ads on your website - this maximises the weight you receive.

    3)

    To join you can either

or if you click here you join as a referer of me :)

No problem, I'm now your refer :p

So, for instance I've put 5 ads on my website - how many do I get on other websites? How this works?

By the way where will ads be placed? (both on my and other websites)

That depends on how much big your site is.

Allegedly you get 1 link for every link you give away. So if you have a 30,000 page website, and give 5 links on each page that'll give you 150,000 links back.

    Correct!

This is only true if weight was consistent for every member. The link allotment is relative to weight not just the number of pages / links that you offer to the coop.

Ok, for example my website has a 100 of pages and I put per 1 ad on each page - so my ad will be shown on 100 other site's pages. Right?
But on what exaclty? On all different websites (for example so that I get per 1 link from 100 different websites) or all 100 from only one another website?

I'm only quoting what digitalpoint said (iirc). I can't find the post now.

I think you're going a bit deep here.

    You give, you get.

Don't worry about numbers, give it a try - you'll like it imo.

Check out this post. It is "roughly" correct that you get as much as you give but weight will affect the allocation.

2 SERPalert: I've been told that's not effective tool at all.

So can anyone tell me on how many websites will my ad appear? On the only one or a lot?

If you don't think it will be effective then I wouldn't recommend using it.
More than just one. Theres a extensive FAQ and much reading on the main website, or there are about a year and half of forum posts on the subject.

    Good luck with your site.

Thanks. With regards to your questions on the coop I'd simply try it. There's no black and white answers. A lot of opinion but at the end of the day try it, get good results and continue. Or if it doesn't work out you've not lost anything, it's free :)
