Can I Interlink Some/All Sites on Same IP?

I am a small web designer. Currently have about 15 or so sites on same IP. Can I interlink all sites to raise the pr of all or will this raise a red flag with Google?

Can I link a few sites which are doing well to a few sites which are struggling without a penalty?

I currently link them all back to my own web design site and that has helped my own serps.

Next time I need another block of websites, I will get a different iP address.

Is that if you interlink ALL sites or just a few of them?

Surely having a "designed by" link at the bottom of each page is OK??

Many thanks all - would anyone point one way links from a FEW good sites to a few struggling sites onthe same ip or would you all say this is dangerous?

You should be OK with only linking 15 sites together. This should not harm you or trip any kind of penalty.

Although it won't help you either. In order to get the most out of your link building efforts you need to make sure that the links all coming from different IP addresses, especially different Class C IP addresses.

Since this number is so small, you should be fine as long as you have links coming from other websites as well. If the only inbound links coming to your site are all from the same IP address, who knows what could happen, but I wouldn't recommend it.

When doing this make sure they will have different Class C IP address as the website you are linking to.

    Hope this helps,

    Neil

Google will catch you very quickly. I wouldn't do it.

Well it depends. If you are linking from valid sites, it is alright, but if you start interlinking with penalized sites, your sites might get affected

Either use rel="nofollow" or do something that will show that you mostly do it for traffic.

Many thanks all for your help! Actually, I've now seen a Matt Cutts video saying it's Ok to interlink related sites (eg mens' clothing and women's clothing on the same ip as that is of use to the customer) but not unrelated sites.

I don't know if this is good or bad, but most of the websites created by our company have a designd buy link at the end and most of them are hosted on the same ip. Is this a Problem for our website? Our website is in a different IP than the others.

In my experience, interlinking is not a problem. others may disagree, but for the kind of numbers you are asking about, you are fine. You have the proof yourself already, where you say deigned by link gave you serp improvement.

I will not recommend to do so with all the sites.

Only with a few sites(2..4) could be harmless but with more could be harmful.
