I have a hosting account, but a site is already hosted with it. Can I add a totally different site with different domain name to the same hosting account?
    Thanks

If you have cPanel you can use the addon domains feature.

Use namecheap for registering domains and hostgator as your host. It's the easiest and cheapest setup so you can host more than one .com, .net, etc. with your hosting account.

    from http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080516171647AAq1z9W

i hope this will answer your question

You can always find good reliable hosts (even free ones if your site is not big) which will allow you to add more than one domain.

 my hosting account is an Economy plan.

I guess I´ll need to buy another hosting plan, and this time I´ll make sure it supports many websites. I just checked out hostgator and they offer unlimited site hosting so it ounds good, but

Now that you mention FREE hosting, my website es REALLY small so is there a chance I can get free hosting with no ads?
    thanks

110MB.com or Zymic.com for free quality hosting.

I am hosting a dozen plus sites on a Linux GoDaddy.com account. Take a look at your hosting plan, it should allow for multiple sites.

add-on domains are basically additional domains that you are able to host on one instance of a web hosting service. Meaning you do not need to buy additional web hosting service for each of the domains you want to host. Most shared hosting companies allow you to have additional domains--some allow you to have unlimited and some up to 10 or so...

    Example, you can have:

    domaina.com
    domainb.com
    domainc.com

all hosted under one account thus saving you money.

visist http://www.web-hosting-genius.com and see who can meet your requirements by reading the reviews.

    Best of luck!
    Mike

whatever you do, don't host with yahoo or register a domain name with them because at renewal time they will charge you $35 to renew your domain name.
