What do you think? If you can ask this question, you should know it is not right to use copyright images, "maybe" isnt really an excuse, try to ensure you are not using copyright images.

Let's see: if you violate AdSense's TOS, Youtube's TOS, and copyright laws all over the world do you think that you might have problems? Perhaps we can learn from another example: if you walk into a bank with a gun and demand money, do you think that you will have problems with the bank and law enforcement authorities? Stealing is stealing whether it is someone else's cash or someone else's IP. It is all the same in the eyes of the law and of honest people. The fact that you are asking the question is a good sign that you have not yet moved over to the dark side, so please do not go there.

Yes. AdSense accounts that have copyrighted music or pictures can be banned. Work on creating your own content that will offer value instead of trying to make a few quick bucks off content that provides no value.

its funny because although everyone here is right and it is a complete violation of copyright, the system for detecting this kind of thing is absolutely and completely automated. As a result some people will have their videos un-monetized for having a label on a coffee cup while others do these full blown spoofs of songs which are complete violations yet make bank off of them. Others still just run straight music videos on their channels which again is complete violation of copyright. It's funny like that in youtube land. The more views you have and the more popular you are = the more money you are making for youtube and the more you get away with. Seriously, you don't even get the right to email youtube with problems unless you are getting so many views a month and it's not a small number. It's an interesting place to do business lol:)

The people who get away with it do not get away with it for long. All it takes is one report and their AdSense is gone. Also, YouTube can easily detect duplicate content now and anyone who republishes music videos is pretty much found right away. The only people who make bank from views are those with original content. The stolen content gets reported and banned relatively quickly.

Actually, that is not a copyright violation. Spoofs and parodies are allowed, as are "covers" where people sing a song with appropriate attribution to the owner.

It becomes an infringement when you republish the song "as is", without attribution.
