    hi,
can i have 2 websites with the extactly same content? the reason is that in case one webhost is down, my visitors will go to the other website name. of course, i will mention in the site that in case of any website down, pls proceed to "this address" for a minor site. in a adsense aspect, is it allowed? i need to know as not to break the rule :)

That would be duplicate content and Google will penalize one of your sites for sure.... Just find a reliable web host and you don't need to copy your website...

Why exactly same content ?? you can get penelized for duplicate content . Though Re-Wording should do the trick ;) :)

Of course you can duplicate your site, but my tip is don't do it.
If a new visitor go to your main site and it's down, probably he/she gets a blank or error page, so he/she won't go to your alternate site because, he/she even doesn't know their existence. Also, you'll waste many time updating both sites.
So, you should choose a good hosting and put there only one site.

If you are so worried about servers going down, you would be better with "failover hosting"

My expirience with it is the following:
Two exactly the same blog sites (layout and text)
were set together online. The one with .info
extention and the other one with .biz.

With the last PR update the .info got a PR 2
and 2 indexed pages and 6 links, while the
.biz blog site has not even 1 indexed page
right now. So Google did indeed penalize
the 2nd site. I thought it's strage however
knowing Google's hate for .info sites, that it
punished the .biz extention isntead of the .info.
